This forum site unfortunately has a 'bug' of sort in that urls, when 'copy and paste(d)' into a post commonly (always? sometimes?) get a 'space' appended to them (actually a '%20').

thisoldtractor[dot]com is alive and kicking, both (with a www and without) and is a simlpy superb resource for all things Moto Guzzi. (Other superb sources are available).

I really hope that I'm not showing granny how to suck eggs, apologies if I am, but if you use the hyperlink insert tool  (globe with a chain link under it) that seems to work.

Indeed, the link insertion tool does work well. Copying and pasting will always depend on your accuracy in copying, if you copy a little more, you add a space which translates into %20.
Best if you don't copy the / on the end, then it can't happen.
Brian.
