I just bought these off eBay. They fit a treat and less than £18.

Those look good, do they come in a variety of sizes? I'll need something for the V50III, that damn airbox is not going back on....

I don't think the filters themselves come in different sizes, but they come with rubber step down rings that fit it the inlets. Without, they fit big block Delorto 30s. The step down rings could be enlarged easily if necessary.

The shape of the inlet tract going into the carb is actually very important. The original airbox has the correct shape, but these pod filters do not generally.

Yes I have read that. It's a case of suck it and see, Brian. Do you by any chance watch Mark Etheridge on Facebook (I bet a fiver, you don't!)LOL

He is a Guzzi Guru in America. He has just rebuilt a dead Le Mans rat bike and has S shaped inlet pipes that must be 8" long going to a Webber carb under the seat. He is fine tuning it.

He actually rebuilt my Eldorado that I stupidly sold to buy a V85.

I have a stainless 2 into one manifold that I bought a Mikuni carb for some years ago, but never got round to testing it. Maybe I'll get round to fiting it to my Convert before I die! It would be great if it works.

Thanks John..
I think they will be physically a bit large for the small blocks but useful info, thanks.
I have fitted Mikunis to both my Velos, they are excellent carbs..

My second ever bike was a Velocette Viper, back in 1972. I loved that bike but sold it to go travelling. (£75!) The travelling never happened through no fault of mine and I was gutted!
My Velocette is still about somewhere and I believe the owner is a member of the owners club. 292 VTC is the registration number.

I played around with two into one manifolds years ago when I had the Norton Commando. Actually ended up manufacturing them.
I found it had little effect on performance on the road, but did improve fuel economy considerably.
I tried it on my old V50, but using the original Dellorto could never get the idle to work on both pots, the idle jet orifice is offset in those carbs so always favoured one side.

John,
My first Velo (and return to old bikes in 1995) was a Viper too so I understand. Good to know that yours is till out there and looked after by a Club member.  Mine went when I got my '56 MSS which I still have , joined later by a '60 Venom. Wonderful quirky things that start if you have the knack and if they want to.......
These days an electric start has its benefits...

I've just looked up your Viper John - the last MOT was July 2013, at 83039 miles.....
Looks like it's not just Guzzis that rack up the miles..

I will be an historic vehicle now, so difficult to tell if it is still being used. The mileage would suggest it is.
Thanks for looking.

Cheers John.
