This is for the 1200 8V Engines, but I believe it's used on other 'Big Blocks', and possibly a lot of others.

Standard Automotive part, £7 (US$10) or so from any decent car spares place.

Industry Standard Connector, Guzzi Plug goes straight on.

Guzzi spares places will tell you it's a discontinued part, and they will want to sell you the later (different thread) type, with a Spade Connector, and an Adaptor so it will fit into the Crankcase.

My local car spares shop matched it with the first number on that list, had it on the shelf.

For Engines other than the 1200 8V, check the Switch you're replacing for the Contact type.
Some are normally 'Open' when the Engine's stopped (no Circuit), others are 'Closed' (Circuit made).

Mechanically the switch is the same on more or less all the guzzi V twins, but the electrical connector will vary. They are all the normally closed type.

Thanks Brian.
There are similar units (thread size, and connector) that will be NO (normally 'open'), but all the ones on that list will be NC.

When I said they are all NC, I meant all the switches fitted by Guzzi.

Yes, I know. Wink

I was just pointing out there are N.O. types out there as well, that will fit and plug in, just in case someone found another source.
