Perfect time of year for it. I'm heading through The Dales as part of The West Coast 1850 this Thursday. Just prepping the Stelvio for 10 days or so on the road. But for that distance I may just throw some fresh oil and a filter at it oh, and bump the rear shock up a bit. See ya in North Yorks so I will.
Have a great ride.

It's an excellent route, I did it with some pals about three weeks ago starting and finishing at Corbridge with an overnight stay near Berwick. We didn't bother going to Holy Island but if you decide to add that leg then don't forget to consult the tide tables.

Have a great time.

What is 'The West Coast 1850' (NC500 I've heard of)

I don't exactly know yet either so I don't. But already have accommodation booked along the way. So join the dots with a wiggly line and throw in a few ferries to make it work.
Stelvio and I hit the road tomorrow from N13 at 8:30ish, head North then West before turning East then South next Wednesday.
Possibly around 1850 miles. There may be photos so there may.
Cheers

So The North West 1850 turned into something else at Armscliff Crag on Thursday lunchtime. Stopped for a reflective break and visit my parents, whose ashes had been thrown off the top.
I had replaced the fuse box lid as it was rattling around and the bike then failed to start. Fuel pump wasn't priming so it wasn't. Swapped fuses and relays around until I flattened the battery in my attempts to start. At least I was in a glorious and shady spot with my parents for company.
Phoned AA who were there swiftly. He checked what I had checked and then the ECU disconnect symbol came up caused all the waggling of wires .
3pm time to relay home.
3 relays later I arrived home at 4a.m.
Back on the road in the lil' Toyoda by 4:45a.m. and was in Oban by 3 that afternoon.
Having a great time and not having to do all the driving.
I'll look.at it when I get home

Cheers
Min

Nice setting, pity about the lack of bike.
