We have a solution.
Having checked fuses and circuits at the side of the road by using spare good one. The fuel pump still didn't pump. The ECU disconnect came up. Maybe because of low battery. So on the trailer it went. Stripped all the body off only to discover that the AA man had somehow blown the middle fuse. Replaced it, bish bash bosh all is wonderful again. Mystery to the original cause as no amount of gentle wire waggling will replicate it so it won't.

Well at least it was a very cheap repair. Though it shouldn't have happened. Worry is, what caused the first part.

This has turned into classic thread hijacking so it has.
Get yer own thread Min !!! It could have just been a blip in the system so it may. I'll start it up and give it another good wiggling. Clean and grease the connections tomorrow and eyeball the wiring as I tape it up.
Maybe give it a blast out before I replace the plastic, although I'm getting pretty good at it. Instead of the cubby hole in the tank maybe a wee door in the side so that you can access the fuse/ relay box. Quick! Hide my dremel 😀 Cheers Min |
