I replaced the TPS on my 2009 CAL VIN with the Harley part. Much less expensive and my local dealer had one in stock. I think it fits an older Road King

Are people changing these just for fun, or are they a common failure item?
Can't say I've heard or read of any going t*ts-up . . . |

I used to work at the company that made these- CTS. There are about 6 versions, but if its a PF1C, its the same on a car or a bike. You would not want to know the mark up on these!!!

PF3c was fitted to the Ducati monster I had ,the PF1c was fitted to the Ducati S2R 1000 I had after that ,both are silly money from Ducati but California Cycle works make them for around £50 , I fitted a calcycle PF3c to the M900ie I had and it was fine .
As a point of interest the PF3c is none linear and the PF1 is . |

Basically there are linear, dual slope , both in clockwise and anti clockwise variants. Dual slope have adjustable mounting . |

On a semi-related note, is resetting the TPS really required before doing a TBS?
If so, is there a simpler less costly way to reset it than buying an expensive sw or hw to do it? Thanks.
