Sorry to revive and old thread but I'm looking at getting the Abba stand for the V7ii.
Can you advise which Multistrada fitting kit works on the V7's swingarm nuts?
They list the 1200 (2010-2014) and 1200 DVT (2015-2017) adapters as compatible with their lift.

Cheers,
Jon.

Send Abba Stands an email and ask them.
I've done this in the past and they were very helpful.

Thanks, did a bit of digging and found pics and info on Flickr. Looks like the Multistrada 1200 kit works.

You can`t beat a good set of paddock stands especially when used in conjunction with a hydraulic bench, as once up in the air all jobs are possible. My scissor lift is only used on the crossers, which was its original design brief, as they are lightweight and generally have heavy duty bottom rails. I don`t think the bottom rails on my V50s would be suitable for jacking other than where the centre stand pivots are.

Thanks for the suggestions but I won't be using paddock stands, they're iffy doing it one man.
Just want it off it's tyres during lay up.

I use a Seeley type lifting platform for other bikes but it does not work well with the V7 as it has a long wheelbase and the centre stand is too far backwards. I can use the frontwheel clamp and strap it down, but can not put it on the centre stand, so no good for removing the rear wheel.

If I remove the wheel clamp from the front of the bench I can get a front paddock stand on there and then can get both wheels off together whilst having the bike at a comfortable working height.

Best bit of kit I've got in the workshop, don't know how I'd manage without or indeed how I managed before I got it...

That bench looks identical to mine, as does the green kneeling pad.The curtains however, do differ.I've gone for a traditional Sanderson print in various shades of red and gold, and very nice it is too.

Dukes red curtains are similar to the full length velvet ones in my paint shop.

It would be super if the posted pics of workbenches, and the "mine too's" were accompanied by some names, specs, suppliers, etc.  Plenty of advice on curtains, not so much the 'recommendations' sought by the OP, and other readers of the thread.
