Ok, I'm an old fart returning to restorations as a pastime, the last time I did it, it was a phone call to Ian ledger at Stream Cottage Classics, I can't find him now, so presume he is happily retired, or gone to the great Mandelo del Lario in the sky?
But is there some one who has taken over, one who knows everything, and who has the three variants of the left handed fu fu valve for a 1946 Moto Guzzi what ever on the shelf? Or is it just the internet and Europe now? Have Fun Robin |

The guys who have old singles like back to 1932 all seem to use Agostini in Mandello but my V twin is '76 so reasonably easy to get parts

Hi Robin There is no parts supplier for Guzzi singles in UK. There are two regular suppliers in Italy, Guzzi Retro and Valenti Moto Restauri. Agostini are not a parts supplier for old singles. What bike do you have? |

I don't have any thing I need spares for at the moment, it was just a thought for the future, and if I proceed with my plan for an Aerone. So nothing in the UK then. Wonder who had Ian Ledgers stock, he had a vast stock and a huge supply of documents, probably long gone. Have Fun Robin |

You'll find most available documents on Gregory Bender's This Old Tractor website. I've only had my Falcone for four years so I didn't know Ian Ledger. It's no problem to deal with Valenti and Guzzi Retro though. As an example I needed my magneto refurbishing. Cost in the UK for a mag refurb seems to be around £400, but nobody will touch a Marelli. I sent mine to Marco Valenti and it was returned within 3 weeks, fully rebuilt for €180.

I can second Glawster's comments. As long as you are happy to wait a while for shipping, I don't think you'll go wrong with Valenti although his replying times are a bit haphazard in my experience.
