Went to a conference in Doncaster and decided to use 2 wheels as it is so mild. Very pleased I did as we finished at lunchtime yesterday so I took the scenic route home across the Peak District. Very satisfying Smile

Went to Brentwood on the Stelvio today, strange metallic noise at low speed, seemed to cure at higher speeds. Got home and noticed that the sump guard was hanging off one side! I will remove it and consider mending it or junking it.

I took the VStrom Pete as I needed the hard luggage for all my overnight clobber, jacket and the laptop etc. and I must say, it is a good all rounder though lacking the character of the V7 of course. The roads were quite filthy mind you so if I had used the V7 I would have felt obliged to wash it upon my return. No guilt trip putting the VStrom away with some road grime and in fact, got it even more mucky on a business trip to Runcorn yesterday. I do go to some exotic locations in the course of my work!
