If the weather is fine tomorrow, I'm getting either the Yamaha YB100 out or the Burgman 400 ( surprisingly competent in every area ). Big smile

My son phoned this morning to ask if I was able to assist in lifting a 13 amp fuse and help him fit it in a 3 pin plug.

He lives 20 miles away but seeing as it was sunny and he needed urgent assistance I fired the YB100 up and headed over to his place calling at a remote village bakers to pick up Ham salad sandwiches and sausage rolls to see us through the job.

I got a little lost and ended up taking a route which ended up being longer than usual but rather than moan I just got on with it.

The things that you have to do for your kids.LOL

I know what you mean Johnno but I needed a top box for it on the moped run last year because we had two overnight stops

Managed to find a genuine rack and period Rickman box locally so on they went.

I may well end up removing the box as it's plug ugly but you have to put the sarnies and sausage rolls somewhere.LOLLOLLOL

One can think of an appropriate location for the “sarnies”, whatever they are, and it’s NOT in a top box, whatever that isBig smile

I trust you didn't do yourself a mischief lifting that heavy fuse though.

Had a ride down to Wiltshire in the sunshine to pick up an "essential" 5 speed gearbox and clutch for a Royal Enfield project. The traffic on the A361 through Banbury, Chipping Norton and on to Marlbourgh was extremely light apart from the preponderance of motorcycles. In ones, two's, three's and groups of five or six it was remarkable. Everyone, including me, flouting the rules I feel slightly guilty/ashamed but the cops took no notice and social distancing was assured. Should I dig out my hair shirt or indulge in a little self flagellation? It may have been a bit naughty but I feel so much better for it.Spiritual wellbeing;that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I’ve been sneaking a ride around the local roads on various bikes, so I suppose I’ve been observing the “rules”, however, I was hoping that release day would be March 8th but apparently we’ll have to wait until 29th March to ride with others. Agreed,  Dave P, even a short ride out works wonders.
