No pics...too busy riding, sorry - Down the A30 from home to Compton Abbas airfield... a beaut of morning, there for 10. Met up with a mate then down through the A and B roads to Wimborne Minster and ended up at Branksome Chine (between Bournemouth and Poole).

Sit on the beach, enjoy some fantastic sun.  Then back up past Fordingbridge to Salisbury and home. A good ride out.

While its cold overnight... this would be a great week for an autumn tour - cant get off work though Confused

I saw some alpacas this morning on my way to work. Couldn't remember the name, so thanks for the reminder Kate.

Tomorrow will be loading the bike up and then setting off in the direction of Mandello.......

Yesterday returned from visit to Picardy, northern France to the geographically challenged.  A short 650 mile blat in 4 days to a region I've never been before.  My fourth trip [overseas] on the 12S this year, this time somewhere on my doorstep and I discovered several reasons to return with more time.

Day out to the seaside. Car job as the aim was to get the dogs wet and tired out.

Anyone here riding a white Stelvio on the marine drive Scarborough at lunchtime? I was the bloke eating toffee covered doughnut to top off the fish, chips, cockles etc.

And yet I still had to click back a page to see what you meant ;)

Yesterday I redid up my exhaust header nuts because my local bike workshop is ****.

Long story short for those who don't know:

Had the Griso exhaust valves adjusted.  Riding along a few days later I went to an angry overtake on a car that pulled out on me.  Suddenly 'BANGBANGBANGBANGBANG' ad nauseum.  Had to wait 3 hours for recovery.

After nudging by folks on here, I examined the issue myself.  Bike shop hadn't done the left side adjuster retainer up.  It had wound out and was sitting in the rocker box, the adjuster wound out and hammered on the rocker head, wrecking the valve.

When I took the left side 'wing' to them I told them specifically that the screws were inside it on a piece of tape.  They took it for a test ride without fitting these, and they fell off and were lost.  They also rounded the heads of 2 other screws.

Yesterday I was riding to rescue a friend who had broken down, and suddenly the bike sounded like Thomas the Tank Engine on steroids.  Seems that when they replaced the valve they hadnt tightened the header flange bolts up (or retorqued them on a warm engine) and the left exhaust was being held to the head only by the Y-pipe clamp...

Took my recently acquired Yellow  Ducati ST2 out for it's first run since doing a full service and cambelts.

It has replaced  the BMW K1100Rs ( Good bike actually ) and the Ducati now shares the garage with the Cali and the Centauro.

It pulls like a train, sounds absolutely glorious and is comfy so I think we're going to get along very nicely!

Suffice to say, the score now  is Italy 3,  Germany 0. LOL
