I believe in the community of bikers helping each others and share their experiences, praising the good guys and warning from the bad ones. I have, in the past, written about my horrible experience with Adam Bishop.   http://www.guzziriders.org/adam-bishop-horrible-experience_topic4336.html

I am now pleased to say that I received excellent service from Mark Vallance, MTEC.

Mark showed up on time, was professional and courteous throughout, worked FAST, did not waste time in useless talk, did not tell me that I was "making him nervous", did not waste more times looking for tools, explained to me what was doing and was ready to answer to every question. His van was very well organised so he never had to go searching for tools, and I saw him using a couple of "tricks" to make things faster. Mind, he was charging by time, not a fixed amount. in the end he was much cheaper than I had expected (and than that other time waster last year). A good experience throughout.

Bike was stranded in my garage (long story) and working in Central London I needed someone who can come to my place on a Saturday morning. Mark came, saw, and worked to my satisfaction throughout. Alas, we have found more problems with the bike, but again he showed me in great detail what the problems were (the wiring is now pretty much shot, and a lot of people have messed about it in the years, making things more messy)

His details are

MTec Motorcycles |  76 Gravel Hill, Croydon,CR0 5BE
Mob: 07880 578 236 | Tel: 02084070299

He also changes tyres to your bike coming to your place; again, a boon for someone like me with limited possibilities of arranging things during the week.

He is based in Croydon but he came to me the other side of the river (near Dartford). Only slight problem is that he is very busy (three weeks lead time now, but I think it's the time of the year...) and therefore less suited for urgent work.

if you are a clueless "mechanic" like me, have your bike stranded in your garage, like the convenience of a mobile mechanic and are looking for a reliable guy I think this chap is the right one.

Yep.
Cables were found to me totally messed up, contacts everywhere, strange "bypasses" made by improvised "home mechanics", but most of all cables playing mad all the time.
by the bye, we could not mount the new coils 9I have posted about this) because again, in the years the original HT cable was substituted for a cheapo one, thinner and not matching them (but matching the, I don't doubt, cheapo coils that are now installed).

However, I will make the bike roar again... !
