At Motorcycle Live they said they were trying to keep it under 10k.

I was expecting to be a bit North of 10k too so that sounds promising, course they might do an NTX version or something with all the bells and whistles that could affect the pricing?

Yeah me too, but that is often the way with concepts isn't it. Once the accountants get involved......

To my untrained eye they look the same.
How are they different?

On second thoughts ...     When i looked the first time I though the tank was different  but now i'm not so sure  , I do prefer  the prototype shark gill type side covers though.

The silencer is much larger and The seat/saddle is different. I find the silencer on many modern machines to be ugly and over large mind you. One of the reasons I bought a V7was the traditional handsome lines. I guess emissions are mainly responsible.

Much has been made of the 'differences' as evidenced in this patent filing (in Australia?). I'm all shrugs - the patent filing illustrations are no more the production machine than the concept build was.

http://www.motorcycle.com/mini-features/piaggio-patents-design-moto-guzzi-v85-production-model.html

Given the response, I'd be amazed if they didn't try and keep it as true to concept as possible - and it is possible: Husqvarna did a pretty fine job of bringing one of their concepts to production recently, keeping all the key styling elements which had excited their potential market.

I quite like that. I hanker after an R80GS but they are crazy money, that looks along the same lines ?

Not sure I'd buy a brand new bike for that 'on / off road adventure' type riding though. I wonder where they will pitch the pricing.
Spada NT, Monza,750T, T100R Daytona (oops, that one's a Triumph !)
