V7 Classic Black and gold was the best. But green & black was nice too. Now blue is in!

I installed a Dart Piranha on my V7III, and, with some minor modifications, got some great coverage with very limited turbulence out of it. If you don't need full blown windshield protection and you enjoy having your helmet in clean air while taking wind off of your torso, I think it is a great way to go.
I shot a quick video reviewing the screen and describing the modifications, please feel free to check it out here: https://youtu.be/fqODnkooKAw

Thanks!

I have the Dart Marlin which looks fab but doesn't feel so great. Need to experiment with helmets and angle. Might try the Givi A31 at some point.

As mentioned earlier I have 3x Givi (602 I think)screens in my shed you can have a try with so you can.
I'll dig it out and attach a photo later.
I'm in North London which may be convenient for you.

Cheers

I had a Dart Marlin on my V7 ii and experienced the same buffeting issues. It seemed to create more turbulence than with no screen! I fitted the genuine Guzzi touring screen in the end. This is better but far from perfect.

There really needs to be a scientific trial to establish once and for all a touring option.

Cheers, Min. North London isn't very far. Do they fit on the V7iii?

I've successfully used MRA's X-Creen spoiler in the past to modify airflow and reduce turbulence coming off larger touring screens, this may be worth looking into. Lots of reviews out there for different bikes, here is mine when I used it on my Ducati Multistrada: https://youtu.be/iXtBsNtbNco

Also, your helmet does make a huge difference. I didn't appreciate how big of a difference till I got the Schuberth C3 Pro a last year. It is night & day. I really don't have the need for a screen anymore, or at least not one that takes air off my helmet (YMMV depending on your riding weather). It is so stable, even in 35mph crosswind or behind 18  wheelers. Yes, the Schuberth is expensive, but, man, it is worth every penny to me now. Here is a review if you are interested: https://youtu.be/wY_PxV-gc1c

One more thing: Don't underestimate the impact your riding gear has on turbulence around your helmet. I used a textile riding jacket in the past, which was very comfortable and convenient, but the dirty air coming off of it shifting in the breeze, and off of the folds in the fabric would induce bad vibrations around the helmet. I ended up switching to leathers after a small off that taught me a lesson, and the difference the now-formfitting-and-stable leather made to the airflow was significant and totally unexpected.

I hope that helps!

It’s interesting the things that significantly affect airflow, and thus noise.  A few months ago when such things were possible, I was dispatched by SWMBO to pop across the bridge to Spain fetch two very large and very long loaves of bread.  In the backpack they went, but they stuck up to shoulder height or a little higher.  On the ride home (motorway, 120 km/h limit) I noticed an absolutely massive decrease in turbulence and noise.  More tests needed; awaiting border re-opening...

I started with a Dart Classic, the middle sized option, which looked great on my V7III Special but the helmet buffeting was awful.....I am 6'1". So I ordered a Marlin, the taller one. I takes a good bit off of the body and dumps it at shoulders and head but has much smoother flow at the helmet so less buffeting. I also stand it more upright by just a bit and that seems to help. I still need earplugs with any helmet and the air is still not as clean as no screen at all, but again, it takes the blast off of the body.
