Who makes tyres that fit the V50? I'd like to stick to the original size which appears to be 90/90 18 on the front and 100/90 18 on the rear. I see mentions of Avon Roadriders but I'm thinking these are unavailable. I'd rather have the same manufacturer front and back if possible.

Forgot to add they can be a major PITA to fit due to 'tubeless tyre edges' (double worse if they have any paint or corrosion on inside) & mine are running inner tubes because fitting a tubeless tyre valve is tricky

I had Michelin M45 on mine, and I think you can also get Pirelli City Demon in the right sizes.

Thanks for your input. It’s appreciated. Guzzi say 3.15 on the front and 3.5 on the rear and I see the Avon site says these tyres are MT2.15 and MT2.5. What do these numbers mean? Is it the tyre width? Am I comparing like with like as if I am, there appears to be inch difference?

Well, according to my V50 workshop manual, Front - Metzeler 3.25x18 or Michelin 3.25x18 Rear - Metzeler 3.50x18 or Michelin 3.50x18. Those are inches so there is 1/4 inch difference in tyre width. The Metric equivalent is 90 or 100 in width. The Avon numbers will not be inches.

The MT references are for the rims I think.

This table gives idea of tyres against rim size compatability. On the Avon RoadRiders they say FRONT 90/90 and underneath say Replaces 3.00 -18; BACK 100/90 and underneath say Replaces 3.5 - 18. Front wheel is 1.85 and Rear is 2.15 inch according to w/s manual Edited by paulbricey - 25 Mar 2023 at 13:36 |

That all makes sense. Thanks to all for taking the trouble to reply. Much appreciated, so I’ll go ahead and organise a set. 😊👍
