Hello to All - would anybody have a starter switch as fitted to the 1979 V50 MK2
that they may want to sell. The switch that came with my machine has been bodged (two white wires from the on off switch soldered together and the press button wires doctored and don't seem to conform to the wiring diagram). Not being very good on things electric I'd like to try and get an original item and reinstate the wiring / parts as original.

So is it a lego type switch and throttle housing? And is it a four pin connector or 3 and a separate black wire ? How long is the cable?

Cheers

Hello to the one&only, the switch is lego type with throttle housing. The connector from the switch into the harness should have been through a three way connector. My switch has been bodged and there's no evidence of a separate black wire. I estimate the wiring cable will be around 1 metre in length (I can remove the said bit of wiring tomorrow but even with it removed I doubt it will be a precise length compared to the original).
Thanks for the prompt reply - george

Hello V50 tlc - thanks for the suggestion. I have tried homernmarj. They have a four pin switch from a Mk3 machine which will need reworking to suit the MK2 bikes. At this moment I would still prefer to try and source the original arrangement before trying to alter one from a MK3 (like a lot of other folks I am not very good on the electrical stuff and soldering is not my strong point). However at the end of the day I may have to give it a try.
Thanks again and best regards - George.
