My Monza arrived in boxes like the above but with engine containing sand or some other blast media, so hopefully yours will be a bit more straightforward.
Best of luck with the restoration although hopefully skill rather than luck will be the deciding factor

Funnily enough while the restoration of the Monza did have some head scratching moments along the way these pail into insignificance when compared to my ongoing frustrations with the DVLA.

Good luck with the DVLA. I registered one of my VeloSolex beasties a couple of months ago and it sailed through not even an inspection. I feel your pain though as I was expecting a long drawn out process.

Well that didn't last too long. No sooner had I got everything sorted in the garrage she presents me with the ultimatum

I want all the laminate changed.

What room says I.

All of them says she.

What every downstairs room says I.

Yup, then you can go play in the garage says she.

Yippee (or similar words) says I through tears of sheer joy Cry

Ha

Hall, bog, dining room, front room, poncey family room and kitchen. About 90 plus square meters and apart from bog and front room all knocked through with no transitions.

It gonna kill me

To have such a low opinion of a woman's capabilities as to imagine they are incapable of handling laminate would be the height of sexism, a sin which I'm sure you would never be guilty of  Ian.
You owe it to the cause of women's liberation to allow her the freedom to prove her equality by stepping back from this non gender specific task.
You might need a good lawyer ...

It's very strange, I am constantly being told that such and such is a man's job, but would I ever even dare to suggest anything is a woman's job?

I have been known to greet my Beloved in the Arrivals Hall at Malaga Airport with a very audible "Thank God you're back, we're nearly out of loo roll."
I'm lucky to have a woman who understands my sense of humour.
Some women want a man who will do as he's told, some don't.
Mine doesn't.
However, there is a saying in my Beloved's Devon, " 'Er's only liddle, but  'er's FIERCE."
Forty years on, I'm still her current lover.
And we both understand that I enjoy being told what to do just as much as she does ...
It's an Equality thing.
