Just got my v35 and giving it a good look over, everything appears fine, motor sound pretty good, but there is no oil light showing when ignition is on, i assume it would be lit until motor starts ? also no indicator warning ligh, possible that its just the bulbs ? ta

No oil light means that there is no earth to the bulb via the oil pressure switch. If you can get to it, take the connector off and touch it to the engine body. That should put the light on. If it doesn't, suspect te bulb, but it could be a poor connection in the positive supply.
Assuming that puts the light on, most likely it's the little bullet connector on the switch which is gunky.
