work continues on the Gilera - frame and bodywork of to paint - wheels totally refurbished - engine checked prepared and sprayed - roll on spring..Big smile

I can easily compare it to the Griso.  With the Griso (and the XB9R), the inside bar sort of pushes against you.  The bike turns and you countersteer it back.

With the Griso its because of the huuuuge wide bars, whereas the XB9R just has a reall aggressive steering angle and geometry.

Its really low geared so picks up speed quickly, but I don't expect it to have the gearing range of the Griso, but then it does have one gear less than the Guzzi.

And I still can't ride it because MCE still can't get into its computers!
A tappy Guzzi is a happy Guzzi!

I haven't had the chance to have a proper ride yet - MCE Insurance's computer systems are down.  But when you lean over a little the bike just wants to turn.

It has a shorter wheelbase than an Aprilia RS250!  I wasn't intending to keep it but I think I will now.  Its as quirky as my Griso and has a character all its own.
A tappy Guzzi is a happy Guzzi!
