Waste of time resetting the TPS before the balance.
The Guzzidiag software is free. The cables are very cheap.

But you can also go to the Guzzitech forum and buy the Technoresearch software Todd sells, it will cost you a couple of hundred dollars.
Brian.

Better 5 minutes late in this world than years early in the next.

I have Todd's Flash Tool.  Nowadays the FT is US $ 500.  I bought mine when living in USA.  I have used the FT to reset the TPS although I bought it for Todd's ECU remap since my 1200 8v is de-catted / non standard pipe,  it suited me because I don't have a portable laptop and every part I needed is in the box.  Todd held my hand thru the reflash and the TPS reset without his support I'd still be struggling to ride with the factory map

Thank you again, Brian. Glad to hear the TPS was not required. Being very new to MG and having limited experience as a "shadetree" mechanic, I was a bit confused initially. After doing some research on my own and visiting different sites, I was able to come to the same conclusion.

I did end up purchasing the OBD2 to 3 pin adapter which I am hoping I might be able to use with my OTC scan tool. If not I will look into getting a KKL to USB cable because I'd like to try the free GuzziDiag tool which I am really curious about!

One thing I am still uncertain about is my ECU type. Based on the GuzziTech.com info, Stelvio should be 5AM but if someone can confirm or correct, that would be super!

He is highly praised and seems very knowledgeable but I used his shop for my manufacturer required 600-mile service and had a not-so-great experience so I am not likely to use his services again.

Also, I am not doing well financially which is why I do most any maintenance/repair work myself, and I like it too.

My Stelvio wasn't running too badly but I could tell it was a bit lean and rough at acceleration. I did end up getting fuel optimizers off of eBay and it resolved the issue for me. I also recently take out the canister and tip-over valve so, now, it is running like a beast!

I am sure his ECU flash is very good but I don't think it is worth it for me since the bike is running well enough. It kills me that I have to spend hundreds of $ just to revert back to silly stuff manufacturers do to make it thru the Federal emission regulations so the bike runs the way it should. Angry [/rant]
