Is Henry Cole getting worse in his old age?
Some of last night I found cringe worthy; and wtf is all that hanging off at 10° lean all about.

Probably discovered that it's better to leave the heroics to the young who tend to bounce better!WinkMaybe best to remember that motorcycling is just a form of entertainment and should not be taken too seriously, unless your livelihood depends on it, of course.Ermm

Henry Cole is a great bloke.
A few years ago I was parked up at a services on the A303 having a coffee when I heard a voice shout "Hey nice bike man"
It was him.
We had a very short chat as he was in a rush but it was clear to me that he's a proper bike enthusiast.
He's not acting on the show.
Thats exactly how he is.
A real gent.

I totally agree. I spent a couple of days with Henry and his crew filming for the Ducati Special a couple of years ago. He is a great laugh and just wants to get bikes on the TV. Unfortunately  the  content has to be dumbed down a bit and made entertaining for wider appeal, so he can sell it to the TV companies.
I didn't realise how much work goes in until I experienced it. His autobiography is a good read. He has been through some tough and scary times.

Agree too met him at Stafford he was really enthusiastic, Right from when he was doing Worlds Greatest Motorcycle Rides he managed to tread that line of riding a bike and travelogue as well as the odd grumble usually beginning with "Look right!"

As Annie said "It appeals to a much wider audience and non bikers!" That is very clever. Have you looked at the other "Bike" Show on TV, it is all "How fast it goes, Wheelies knee down stuff" it is rather boring.

Yes he plays to the camera but makes NO pretence at being in any way mechanical, I really like his shows.

He does try his hand at projects other than bikes even if he does rely on his mates to provide the skills.Must be nice to have such a wide range of knowledgeable people willing to help out, and the fact that they do and put up with him must at least show that apart from the cash, they actually like him. Whatever, he's obviously well connected and his shows are entertaining and that's what really counts.Thumbs Up

Thanks all,
Spotted in the TV listings at 8pm this evening, I'll record it and watch later..
I agree with what others have said about Henry.. I wouldn't mind a couple of mates like Sam and Allen Millyard....

Cheers,
