Can anyone give advice on removing the tank badges from a 750T (v35/50/65)? Hopefully they are not like Morini ones, where the plastic pins break off 90% of the time on removal

If the usual metal badges they are a pin push fit but many get glued in, so a wide flat blade I use a paper spatula ...

Thanks for the quick reply. Sounds like being made of metal, makes the job a lot easier. Morini badges adopt a similar system. However , being made of plastic and with age often against them, nearly always guarantees pin failure.

Rare to break one unless you "go at it" something thin enough to get in but flat enough to apply a bit of pressure, Side panel pins often break due to someone tugging at them, those are held with wee rectangular clips that need squeezing to open them too many prize them from 1side causing pins to break

I think the V50 tank badges are plastic so you might encounter the inevitable failure.

High quality and high strength fishing line can be used to get a good pull but it needs practice and is still not guaranteed to avoid the pins breaking.

Slightly off topic but when attaching badges I use white rubber adhesive (i.e. Copydex but Blue Peter taught me better). Push badge into place with a fresh blob on the pin and hold down wil masking tape for 24 hours and you have a strong, flexible and easily removed badge retaining solution.

Mine are definitely metal.
It is entirely possible that plastic versions also exist  :-)

I have metal ones on my MkIII V50 (1985)...so I'm guessing most are metal.....

After removal with plastic straps/stripper blades, stripping with 'old fashion' (banned) paint stripper & repainted with humbrol paints & some 'profiling bending', they refit normally with plastic inserts (old ones come out with large pin).  Unless there's a good reason I wouldn't glue them on
