Dear all,

you might remember when I recommended the shop of Mark Vallance, who came to my garage to attempt to sort out the bike and made a very good impression. Unfortunately, on that day we discovered that the cables of the bike were entirely shot, and I mean "indicators keep working without the ignition key and according to how you move the wheel"-shot. Mark then told me he knows a guy who would make a fixed price for completely rewiring the bike, with new fuse box etc, for £400.

I liked the idea a lot firstly because I trusted Mark and then because the fixed price is how I prefer to do things. However, I though I would profit of the occasion to also have the electronic ignition installed, something I had been toying with for a while without ever pulling the trigger. We agreed for the installation at only a small increase (£450 in total for the work) and I sourced the Silent Hektik electronic ignition from Muzzi Moto.

Steve was very professional throughout and I am entirely satisfied with his work. In particular I would like to stress that he did not know the Silent Hektik system, but told me without hesitation he would install the system I want. Also, the price remained the same even if he had to go through a "learning curve" to install a system he did not know.

Result: bike now runs like a dream (six hours in Kent yesterday; boy, I love that engine's sound!), everything spic and span & Bristol fashion, and with the electronic ignition installed at, basically, £50 fixed price for the work.

Steve was very professional throughout, and on giving back the bike insisted on me calling me in case of any problem whatsoever so we can make it right, but no problem at all.

I will give the man my future little "projects" (actively dreaming now; more posts coming) on the bike as I have tested the professional work with - for me - the great advantage of the fixed price.

The man does not advertise and gets his clients through word of mouth. I think he deserves a very warm endorsement.
