Got hold of an MPH speedo to replace the KMH speedo on my 1100i cali. The new one came with the plastic chrome surround and the trip reset pin still assembled. Tried to remove the reset pin but could not, so found it very difficult - but not impossible to fit the bulb and speedo cable to it, with out removing the cover.
Does anyone know how to remove and replace the rest pin? |

They usually come of by turning it the opposite way from the way you would turn it to 'zero' the trip mileage; for example to 'zero' the trip by turning clockwise, remove the pin by turning anti-clockwise. If it is difficult to remove, remember it's probably been there for a while untouched, try using the heat from a hairdryer to blow by it, this will, hopefully, help loosen amy gunge in there making it easier to extract. It may take a bit of force but it should free off.ii
