They would have had to talk to your GP.

Let mentioned battery voltage.
Put your voltmeter across the battery , nothing turned on , should be about 12.4 to 12.6 volts.
Ok?
Leave it on there and turn the ignition on and press the starter button.
Ok it's sluggish , but what do the volgmeter read whilst it is spinning sluggishly ?
You don't want it to go below 10.5 or 10.7 really during cranking.
If it does , how old is the battery?  Give it a good charge?  What's the electrolyte level ? Above the plates ? Assuming it's a lead acid and with screw tops of course?

He did say a brand new fully charged battery.

However, still worth checking as it's not unknown for a new battery to be defective.
Brian.

Luckily where i live you couldnt be more remote if you tried, so dog walking and jobs about the house and garden will continue as normal really, work are going to try and sort something for me to do from home but hope it doesnt interfere with "playing" in the garage too much.

Long as you're not mixing with groups I can't see a problem.

She'd give them a jolly good talking to.

(she's completely disabled, bed bound and can do nothing for herself)

She's the kind of woman that would make the Town Clerk (when we had them) hide in a cupboard if he knew she was in the building.

Hi all quick update, it appears to be the starter which is a little tired not surprising after all this time so following advice on another post i sent it off to Ian at "Starterbay" in Gloucester unfortunately he is currently not able to go into work due to the restrictions presently but hopefully when he returns he will have a look at it for me
Thanks again Chris
