Guys,
I want to fit my standard dual seat but without the top box carrier framework (it pivots on this frame at the rear as I imagine most of you probably know).Does anyone know of a smaller framework option that will allow me to attach the seat at the rear without the top box type framework please? Thanks, Mark

Sawing off the grab rail is the easiest solution. The original G5/Convert seat had a slightly different mount. Do you have a tailpiece ?
Cheers Min

I just had a closer look Min and noticed the top box element is removable! It was the first thing I removed when starting the resto, top box and all and just left it on top of the Stag for looking at later. Weeeeeellll looks like i never got round to that proper look.......sort of a blokes look I guess
![]() Cheers all and apologies for the dumbbum query!

So doing a Google image search. looks like the G5 can have either style, the above or the simpler 'U' shape handle. Also regardless whether it came with the stock panniers or not. ![]() |

mine is as per lower diag the other Tonti bikes use similar without the small fitting for seat cowl that did have similar to T3 Cali luggage but it was pretty banged up so i found Cali 2 luggage that fitted easily , they are the same frame. When that got hit by an idiot at Calais ferry port they were replaced with Givi boxes BUT that U shaped #24 in diag will hold seat spacer #41 can be made from small bore chrome water pipe it is stronger than the copper very useful to make spacers use allen bolts with nyloc nuts to hold seat bit of a fiddle but they will go in
mine is a 75 bike reg in 76 ..... this fitment means you could fit any of the dual seats, the V1000 is one of the comfiest but I have seen T3 cali and Cali 2 seats fitted .... |
