Ha ha! I love that. My wife used to run NHS Consultant's clinics. They always said that consultants tend to specialise in their own particular problem. Ergo its a fair bet that a doctor of Psychology is a nutter!

This is nothing new and is something that I have practiced on many many occasions when out on the bike.

Due to the density of traffic nowadays especially in the SARF I now use a fuel tank mounted 60mm M2 WW2 Mortar which I bought very cheaply from our local army and navy surplus store.

The results are amazing and it also puts other motorists off joining in the action.

I like the bit at the bottom where he says escape if possible to avoind endangering innocent bystanders, but if not shoot the barsteward, thus likely killing a few of theose bystanders too.

Many yrs ago a good friend bought one of the Cossak bikes with sidecar from a place that auctioned off film and TV props, it was painted in German Army livery, complete with all the spades a pick, fuel can AND a wooden machine gun fitted to the sidecar ...he used to be involved with re enactment stuff had an old Army BSA in his collection , had alot of fun with the chair tho' the sidecar wheel is driven and all the forward gears worked when reverse engaged ... not that quick but would go anywhere.

Fascinated by the assumption that any reader of what is I presume is a motorcycle article would have a working knowledge of firearms technology and it's associated terms. Perhaps it's just as well the ever widening Atlantic separates our two continents after all!Big smile

"The assumption..." ?

Just google "motorcycle open carry" or "motorcycle concealed carry", you'll see it's actually "a thing".

For better or worse, they  never had time for a feudal stage where government monopolized violence.

I've seen photos of bikes with rifle holsters (if that's the right name for it)

I'm also on an American Ural forum where the subject of how to carry a pistol on the bike has come up a couple of times. For these guys the firearms terminology would be familiar, as in, everyday language. A favourite is have it in the tank top tool box (if your model has that feature).

Yes, the article was intended for home consumption (in the USA) but of course on this side of the pond things are different.

Folks in metal boxes are faceless to all two wheel users and therefore the slightest error can easily be misinterpreted as aggression. The same people being accidentally bumping into each other in the street would most likely pass it off with nothing more than a polite apology; on the road a bit of paranoia creeps in and the incident takes on a whole new meaning. Adding weapons to the mix does nothing but worsen the situation to a state of utter madness.

Unless the roads in the US are infested with homicidal killers prowling around on the search for innocent victims there can be no logical reason for going armed as a matter of course. But as we are lead to believe, the US is obsessed with the right to kill each other at the slightest provocation so who are we to interfere and perhaps they are best left to get on with it?Ermm

Happy New Year!!!!!

Whether I agree with what happens in America or not, it's their country, their rules.
