I've just bought myself a 1991 Targa, it's low mileage and in beautiful condition, however, the rear mudguard has a couple of cracks under the seat, to get this replaced seems to be impossible so is it possible to get it professionally repaired to look like new?

What material is it?
I'm guessing from the shape it's moulded plastic, presumably ABS or is it GRP? Either way it should be repairable, particularly if the repair is hidden. There are a number of companies that do plastic welding, and GRP is easy. Doubt a replacement is available, but if it's useful the parts list is online.

Could it be fixed with a metal plate?
