Dear all,

I am considering fitting these bars to my G5 but am wondering about the following:

1.       Are the electrical looms from the handlebar switches long enough to cope? Unfortunately as mine is in pieces being restored I can’t offer them up very practically to make a judgement.

2.       Can anyone tell me how long the brake line from the front master cylinder to brake light switch manifold needs to be please?

Thanks in advance as always

Regards

Mark

Brake line from master cyl to switch is 50cm on mine.  It's non original so I'm not sure if it's exactly correct.  A couple of cm longer wouldn't harm.
Sorry on the electrical side I'd have to take the tank off to check it.
Cheers,
Derek

To be honest think hard the V1000 bars on G5/Convert are really comfy get the V1000 Police bars been there done that swapped back within 300miles Cali bars altered riding position = lower back uncomfy ... But on my V1000 the electricals were ok had to buy Cali throttle cables and clutch and a braided front brake hose .... when I swapped back kept the cali cables as by accident found clutch was lighter as were throttles

I've been doing a wee road test with Cali bars on the G5 for the past 15 years or so.. Can't think why I'd go back to the originals. Oh yes I can I sold them. Whether I have the cali seat on or the double it makes no difference. The only thing that is harder to do is riding along standing on the seat with one leg out behind.
Do many T3 Cali riders swap to G5 bars ???
Big plus style wise if that's a consideration.
Doing u turns you may need to move your knees out of the way.

Test rides available North London so they are.

Cheers

As long as you only wear a short tutu, you should be able to easily. At least thats what my defence lawyer told the judge

I find the bars on the convert much more comfortable than the ones on the Cali,

The Cali ones were angled wrong, and higher,

For me of course.
