And not in the knee down way.  I was moving bikes around in the garage so the cali gets a run out tomorrow. When I put her on the side stand I saw the foot of the centre stand was really close to the rear tire...like less than 2 mm. Is this normal? I don't see any scrapes on the tire but it worries me.

Anyone else had this?    John

The center stand clears the tyre by about an inch on my T3, both sides, 110/90/18.

You have only 2mm both sides ?  What tyre ?

Something is offset? If too close only on the right side, mainstand is shifted left somehow?

What year is the Cali, cugsy ?

A 140 tire cannot possibly fit in a Tonti swingarm. I'm missing something.
Also, when retracted, the "foot" of the center stand is nowhere near the tire. (?)

140/80/17 is right for a '99 V11 EV, but I thought it was about a Cali I or II.
I'm not familiar with that, sorry, forget what I said.

As I said there's no sign of it scraping the tire. But it's bloody close. I'll put it on the lift and see if anything is loose or if I can move it over.

Well.the stand itself is solid. Lhs clearance is about 4mm and rhs 2-3mm. It misses so i can live with it.

Almost central then! So there you are! So they kept whacking up the tyre width without thinking much about the mainstand clearance?

Other than, it's OK they don't hit each other so that'll do?

I wonder if there's that much difference between manufacturers for the same size tire? Maybe one pirelli 140 is bigger/smaller than my Avon 140...Confused

Mind you, I'm finding some things are in funny places on this bugger. Good job it makes laugh
