What a cracking weekend at the Pennine Guzzisti Rally, one of our biggest yet.
Including day visitors we had around a hundred Guzzi riders and guests from every corner of the country!
The weather stayed reasonably clement, so quite a few went out exploring the Dales and Lake district.
Many thanks to all who attended, We hope you enjoyed the weekend and all returned home safe and sound.
Mr Mad Farquar won the long distance award. Best bike went to a nice Convert, with the 3 WLB Airone's and Kate and Guys Eldo, and Lemans being mentioned in despatches.
Next year we will be adding a Concours award, as the Best bike doesn't have to be the most pristine and we need to recognise the effort that goes into a concours class bike.
In light of this decision,Tony C won this years Concours award (post event) with his immaculate Honda 450.
Branch turnout was close this year, but between Essex, WLB(dispersed) and Scottish branches the Scots won...just.
Gio's Piston Snoring award went to Diesel, with Mad Farquar coming very close. His tent is very recognisable, so bear this in mind if you are at an event where he is presentLOL
We would like to thank the band, AlleyGator, for their usual sterling performance, getting everyone up and jigging about, thanks lads.😎
Thanks to Karen, Gill, and all the kitchen team for their hard work on the brekkies, and Pete and Joan for the BBQ raising £140 for the firemans charity.
Thanks also to the generosity of all who bought raffle tickets.. we raised £250 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance .
We have provisionally booked for 8th - 10th June or 22nd to 24th next year (Any preference??) and would love to see you all again ( I was gonna put "bigger and better" but I dont want to freak Karen out.....yet)Wink
