out and about up north in Highlands last four days,   coming home today i took "the scenic route" about 20 miles from home.  riding carefully down a narrow lane, turned a corner road was full of mud and tree litter -  you guessed  it - came off.

Bike slipped on its side about 20 feet down the road, I couldnt let go as my leg was trapped by the pannier which eventually burst off but this let me in the ditch with leg still stuck,  water steaming off the pipes.  a passing cyclist saw me and jumped off to help and we managed to get my leg out.  passing motorist stopped and helped us pick the bike out of the ditch.

no injury for me other than a scraped face but bike is battered with two lower panels broken off, side panel and headlight cowel gouged, read indictor off, rear bumper twisted ,  footpeg broken, gear lever waggling about and cant get any gear.  engine sounds really rough and clearly not firing on left side

4 hours for AA to get me home and probably the same tomorrow sorting the claim.  i fully expect bike to get written off  consider cost of new plastics.

at least people helping restored my faith in humanity  - the cyclist even went home and bought me back a flask of tea and a sandwich

anybody selling a Norge GT ?

Well, I suppose the good news is you are OK. But rotten luck. Was it farm mud or a "natural" hazard?

Really sorry to hear that JM. Great to hear that you’re OK but looking at your crashed pride and joy still hurts! Hopefully when the dust and the bruises settle out it might be an opportunity to plan what to do with the bike or the next one!
BTW, whisky is even more medicinal than usual just after an off!
All the best mate. 🥃

Oh dear not good. But you're ok which is the main thing .Most serious injury is to the wallet. Unless the insurance company play fair.

Bad luck; it’s rotten when that happens. I hope you’ll soon get it sorted.

I fully expect them to write ut off as uneconimcal to repair,  damaged pannie4 alone is £1250 new from guzzi.   Considering every panel on left side is damaged there is no hope.  Just need to fight them for best valuation
