During a recent tidy up I came across a couple of old Bike Magazines Smile Unfortunately I am no longer allowed to leave old motorcycle magazines to clutter up the place, they have to go Cry So before they end up in the recycling bin I thought I would check if anyone on here would like either (or both)

If you would like them, could you reply on here first (so everyone knows they are gone) and then send me a PM with an address you would like them sent to

Bike August 1980 Road Test on Benelli 504, Ducati Pantah, Laverda Montjuic and Morini Maestro

Bike April 1978 Road Test on a Ducati 500 (nice looking parallel twin) and a Honda CB750. Articles on CBX1000, XL250 and Bimota SB2

Goodness me. I thought there were none left alive in the wild. I thought I saw one a summer or two ago, but it turned out to be an Alpina, with a party frock on.

I test rode, back in 82, a Montjuic and a Pantah 600. The Montjuic was so raw, compared to the Pantah, and terrifying in the best possible way. I *was* somewhat younger then. I left with the Pantah 600, in part because it forgave a couple of fast corner mistakes. I knew the Montjuic was going to get me in trouble every time I left the house. In practice, the Pantah also got me into a lot of trouble, but somehow I seemed to talk my way out of most of it, when finally stopped. The Pantah had to go, a few years back, and it financed the 1000SP which is sat outside, in the fog. I don't regret the switch, exactly, but I do miss that Pantah - such a good looking bike, and with a Verlicchi two into one on it it sounded bloody superb.  "what's that, officer?  restrizione competizione? I think it means not to be used on the track, right?"

There was a guy riding a Montjuic at the DGR in Cambridge last year. It didn't like the traffic much - got right snotty.

Be careful with the rose tinted specs . . . I had a Monty in '86.  It crippled me then.  It was crucifyingly uncomfortable, had no tickover & an impossible clutch, scared horses in the next county, destroyed camshafts and wasn't even very quick.  I rode it to Le Mans and had to be lifted off it in Paris.

Of course I'd love another one!
