Hi Guys, So I did some couple of work over the weekend. I replaced all the leads...and no changes to the ECU00, code is still active. I
got my buddy who has same model to my house. I was able to swap his
error-free working dash with mine. The clocks initialized ok, unlike
mine that speedo remains stuck regardless. So this confirms that my dash
is messed up. To check if the dash is
responsible for the ECU00, I realized that you cant just swap the dashboard. It seems the dashboards are primed to each bike, because the
clock cycles well, but the status icons do not display, & immobilizer indicator is visibly off. I could not start up any of the bike even with my dash in the other bike. This I suppose is a security feature on the guzzi. Can anyone confirm this? Conclusion: Faulty clocks, faulty LCD, active ECU00 |

You would have to change the ignition switch that matches the dash

The dash contains the immobiliser, which reads the chip in the key. The dash you borrowed will expect the chip code from his bike not yours. Similarly your dash in his bike will look for the chip in your key. To make them work you would also have to change the ignition switches so that your key can work with your dash. Have you tried starting your bike with the dash unplugged? Seem to remember someone here saying it did work. |

+1 - A dodgy speed sensor can cause all sorts of weird and wonderful effects Took me 3 months to work out what was going on when mine went FUBAR Simple enough to check, plug is RH side under tank, but you might get a dash error I'm assuming that the N12 has the same speed sensor as the B11 |

It's the ABS sensor on the front wheel on the Norge. Different arrangement. No ABS fault showing.

I check the wheel sensor, front and rear. The rear has gathered some dirt. I just gave it a good clean, and inserted back in position.

No ABS fault showing. Normally active goes off within a few motion.

A small community of guzzi riders here though, I got a link from someone having a dash. I'd check it out later. While i can still make do with my fuzzy LCD, i pretty much need the clocks to work. With a working clock of another, can the clocks from be transferred to my dash without any impact? I wont't mind shipping to the UK repairer to get this done, but then I am evaluating the risk involved.

If you fit a dash from another bike, you will need to know the security code for that dash, otherwise you will not be able to register your keys with that dash.
