Hi everyone

I have to replace my caliper bleed nipples and I was just wondering about normal or stainless. Welcome your thoughts or experiences.

Cheers

Getting them out in one piece is the hard part
I replaced all mine with stainless banjo fittings that incorporate the bleed nipple having had several nipples sheer off especially on the Brembo calipers

That would be a bolt, without a bleed hole, but of the same thread?

If you just leave the broken nipple in it would be blocked. Provided it hasn't been slightly slackened.

Might not look too pretty though and I don't know how the MoT people would view it.

Thanks Ian

Mine are not broken, I've just got to replace everything, so nipples, banjos, pistons and seals.

Pistons and seals ordered, I'm going to use braided hose so I was just wondering what the most suitable replacement for the nipple would be, stainless or stock. Then up popped Chris with this nipple in the banjo thing.

I don't really care what I use but just wondered what others thoughts were

Cheers

I blocked the nipple hole with appropriate bolt (stainless set screw with allen key head) and some gasket sealer
I did try a new nipple but some are now flat bottomed instead of being pointed and couldn`t get a proper seal.
I have never had a problem with this set up at the MOT and it doesn`t look out of place either
