Hi all, new joiner here, both to the forum and the biking world in general...
Eventually bit the bullet and learnt to ride, then went out and bought myself a V7 Stone...love the bike, admittedly there’s no benchmark with regard to the ride but the sound doesn’t fail to put a smile on my face every time I ride it...
Anyway, with no prior biking experience (bar a disastrous 5 minutes in Vietnam 15 years ago) I’m not sure how to spot mechanical issues when they arise...the example I’d like to bring to the table is what seems to be a small amount of what feels like oil seeping out around the bolts that hold the cylinder head cover down...something to worry about/do something about/take to an expert, or all good?
Thanks in advance

I see that you are in Essex, there is an Essex Branch meeting this coming Sunday as it happens. Details;

1pm on Sunday 15th October at The Alma, School Road, Copford, CO6 1BZ.

Note that is a lunch time meeting. There  are usually a small but happy bunch in attendance (except for Buzz). Don't mind what you ride/drive in on, don't mind if you are not a MGCGB member. But we could take a look at your oil leak if you brought the bike down.

Welcome.
A small amount of oil weeping out there shouldn't be a problem. Wash it off with Jizer (engine cleaner) or similar and see if it returns.
Brian.

Better 5 minutes late in this world than years early in the next.
