twiggers can do it all, supply cut and recode - but i would need to send them my one and only key in the post, not happy to do that, only as a last resort.

ordered a key from them, will get it cut up here and hopefully the only Guzzi dealer in Scotland (who i dont like) will be able to do it - he didnt seem sure, no surprise there then

does it need to be a Guzzi dealer, is the software or whatever Guzzi specific or could any garage that does it for their own make, Ford, Peugeot etc do it ?

Try Timpsons, the shoe repairer. They copied a key for my car, including the immobiliser chip, for £50 while I waited, actually took about 20 mins. They need the vehicle there too though.
As they just clone the immobiliser chip, you don't have the expense of getting the new key programmed into the bike.

PS. I know the feeling about secure hiding places, been there. That's why I had to get Timpsons to do the car key. Of course I found the original spare shortly after.Cry

It makes me happy to know I'm not the only one who does that.
