Hi Guzzi folks

Im a new member, just bought a 1970 Ambassador Police. Its fresh off the boat from the states, UK registration completed

Can anyone recommend an insurer? Seems that as soon as all the insurers Ive tried hear that its an import the computer says no!

Any advice much appreciated
Justin.

I can't recommend an insurer to suit your specific circumstances but, being a Loop Frame nut I would like to see some pic's of your bike please.

thanks for the advice - i actually found another insurer, Adrian Flux who offered fully comp for £150 when lots of others wouldnt even touch it! amazing price eh
heres a pic of the bike - those that follow what comes up on ebay may recognise it - it was on there very recently. I paid probably more than i should have, but sure is a nice bike 😀

Hi Justin, I bought an imported bike in 2010, and kept it till August of last year. Insurance was not a problem at all, with CIA insurance, of Rugby, Warwickshire. . . 01788-818600 Knock three times, tell them Tony sent you ..!! I still use them for the V7 II , so they must be doing something right . . . Regards, Tony

I have imported 2 LAPD bikes. An Eldorado which I have now sold and an Ambasador which I have almost finished assembling from 2 crates. I am insured with Carole Nash (was with Eldorado). Suzuki V strom and  Convert, with the Ambassador to be added soon. No problem with imported loops. £190
