ridden all over Belgium France Switzerland Italy Bits of Austria, Holland and a few other places, never had a problem with the rozzers
But
I keep my nose clean
try to speaka da lingo
make sure my bike is legal
am aware of the regulations in that country and the roadsigns
and taking the advice that met copper gave me years ago I blend in
I dont have large powerful or noisy motorcycle ( I would crash it given my lack of skill)
so far its worked
the French Bike cops even helped me out when a major road closure led to me losing my route, and accompanied me and took me through some back streets and put me on the correct road once again, also i avoid travelling in groups, I prefer my own company, after a few European trips with groups I found it jarred with me

I would have thought should be pretty much OK in Western Europe. I know someone who used to live an work in Thailand, he was saying just the other day how everything is done with bribes over there. If you're rich enough you might literally get away with murder.
