Is anyone planning to ride to Mandello in 2021?

It is to be, probably, my final road trip, which I am trying to plan now. I am not sure whether to ship my bike somewhere near, by one of the shuttle things (v expensive) or ride. If I ship I will fly with my significant other, maye ride back. If I ride she is pillion - plenty of possible reasons I can think of for a stressful journey. She says she won't fly on her own. Anyone else riding and sending partner by plane?
I am thinking of doing a bit of touring whilst there, maybe a two week jolly.

Anyone any plans. I would love to be part of a group ride.

2021, that's a along way off John. I'm just completing the plans for 2020.
Mandello 2021 would be something to aim for though.
I hope it's not your final road trip, you're still a young man.

At your tender age John, I hope it's not your last trip.

I expect I'll go, but won't pre book anything.  I'm not fussed about overnighting in Mandello and am happy to travel in from Bellagio or Menaggio.  I might ride there on the V85, but I'd love to take the Falcone back to Italy, so I might trailer it over and spend a few days plonking around the Como area.

Well, it is, but I have heard/read that some accommodation in and around the area is already fully booked.
This is obviously a massive thing for Guzzi, and their owners and fans, so I wouldn't leave anything too late to book.

I started my planning in 2019 . . .

As for joining rideouts, I reckon it'll be impossible to ride anywhere in the Lake Como area, and beyond, without having plenty of Guzzis around you.

I have found accomodation is now already starting to fill up. It was the ride there I was enquiring about, I am sure there will be plenty to keep us busy once there. I feel a little uneasy booking anything so far in advance, but there seems to be no option - my Mrs will not be sleeping in a doorway or a tent for that matter. It remains to be seen how she gets there LOL This trip will not be cheap methinks.

Could you not make the ride there and back part of the 2 week Jolly you mention? Then the daily distance ridden would be less and you and your significant other may enjoy the trip more. Don’t book overnight accommodation too far ahead and then you can have a day off for any forecast bad weather or just a breather?

Remember that the local ferry service between several towns on lake como means you don't actually have to stay in Mandello, it is like a watery bus service, runs regular and cheap

I am well up for the ride in both directions - not so the other half. She has her own bike but has lost confidence riding, mainly because her bike (an Indian Scout) is far to heavy for her. I have tried to get her to change it for something more suitable with no success as yet. Instead it sits in the shed unused. We could go two up but would probably need a trailer for her stuff!

The ferry service makes perfect sense for finding accommodation. I was a tad concerned booking too far in advance + I quite like a boat ride! Good plan.
