Who had it before? Me, I'd look at everything, even f it was supposed to be serviced by a dealer. I've even had silly faults with brand new bikes, wrong fluid levels, tyre pressures, wrong spark plug gaps etc. I think you an use a jack under the sump wth some wood to protect it, others will have more to say I expect. |

Do you know the year of manufacture? This is really important, especially if you want to undertake maintenance and repairs yourself. Try to obtain a Service Station Manual. Should be available from a dealer or possibly Gutsibits. Follow the recommendations in the bike handbook especially service intervals and Capacities etc. I bought my Nevada in 2013 after it had been in a dealer showroom for 2 years. This caused many issues as a number of seals had dried out as well as other paradoxically age related issues in a relatively new bike. Have a look at some of my own posts under “small blocks” on this forum In fact this forum is one of your most useful resources. Don’t be fearful about using it.
I absolutely love my Nevada 750 and have toured extensively in the UK and mainland Europe with my long suffering missus sitting behind me. Keep on top of routine maintainance. I change engine oil very 3,000 miles and all other lubes every 6,000 or in any case in Autumn and Spring. In short I think that small block Guzzis are relatively high maintenance if you want to really use them, but of course that’s all part of the fun. If you have any specific issues just post, and someone is bound to respond!
