I need to solve my Lodola wet sumping problem.....I plan to put an anti sumping valve in the feed from the oil tank to the engine.......it seems logical that the oil feed is the line running from the bottom of the oil tank to the middle underside of the engine and the oil return is the pipe running from slightly higher up on the front of the engine back to the top of the oil tank (just like my Norton ES2). However my Lodola manual says that oil is drawn up from the tank and then fed to the engine (implying the top pipe is the feed).......very confusing.....can anyone confirm which the oil feed pipe is? I reckon it must be pipe from the bottom of the oil tank but I wouldn't like to put the valve in the wrong pipe!

It is the one at the bottom. You can get a suitable valve on ebay. I got mine from Brian Peck (club) who had some made up especially. I attached a small sticker to the headlamp next to the key with 'oil' printed on it - easy to forget to turn it on sometimes!
