Is it safe to jack up a V50 under the sump? I won a single post bike lift on ebay but the supports for the frame tubes won't fit (unless I take the exhaust off, which I don't want to do). I can remove the supports and put a bit of wood across the platform and get it under the sump, but will it stand being lifted up a foot or two? Don't want to wreck it!

I lifted my fat Cali EV on a flat block of pine on my lift and didn't damage anything. I've lifted some big buggers on the thing and none of the sumps have been marked. The wood takes the strain and bends - not the metal. But, just my shekels worth.. The v50 is a tiddler innit?

Yes 100% thats how mine is on the work bench now

With a nylon strap holding the whole thing down sandwiching the block to the work bench so it can move.

Thanks guys. I've lifted it now, just need to sort out some blocks for better support of the rear wheel. Nose in the air at the moment!
