Battery back on (which has the daftest and tightest inaccessible connectors on ...nimble fingers required) and starter, tank and exhaust etc.  A bit of finger crossing and prod the starter....and with a cough and a fart she breathes. She runs...all the indicators, lights and idiot lights work....Just need a run out and see if little things like brakes are ok.

California....california

Well, she's been in the garage for over 2 months being fettled. So much for a quick check over. Ha ..I can see a total rebuild coming.

Well,I've had my man flu for a week...boo hooCry but felt good enough today to finish the cali. I forgot how many bits were missing when I stripped her - should have made notes. But everything is tightened and double checked.  So, press starter and exit garage while exhaust fumes  fill it up. Then move her off the centre stand for first time since...er...october. Blimey.I didn't expect to take so long but then again I didn't expect so much sh*te!
So, I rolled her out of the garage - both of us coughing away and after a brief brown trouser moment (when I forgot where the pedals and levers were) I wobbled down the farm track complete with mud. Conclusion?  Brakes are still awful and need a bit of work; rough running might be due to sitting inside for 3 months; and some electrical gremlins - no battery/voltage light...could be anything and I'm not too fussed.
So, a half mile wobble in first and back. Laughing like a loon. That's more fun in 5 minutes on the 20 year old guzzi than 3 months on the new hondaTongue
