I paid £120 Bill to have my Cali delivered from Bexhill on Sea to Durham ( 340 miles ).

I have used the same guy many times now and he is thoroughly reliable, professional and honest as well as fully insured.

PM or ring me if you want details.

You can't moan at that.

I'm dreaming that one day the NC30 will go.

I'm pretty certain that if you advertised the NC30 on the Bay of many splendid things it would sell quickly,

MCN and Autotrader are also well worth a try.

Bikes like that always have a strong following.

Might not turn out to be such a bargain. It's cleaning up very nicely but just noticed a very fine crack on the right hand side front spindle pinch bolt.
I was very careful to ask the seller if there was any cracking in this area, which he denied. One of the disadvantages of not going to see it before buying. Although to be fair the crack is very fine and not noticeable without thorough cleaning and close inspection.
Not the end of the world, and might turn an absolute bargain into just an ordinary bargain. Cry

Well due to my insurance being due on the 1st August and my insurers wanting £70 to change it on my multibike policy I decided to wait until my renewal to put the Stelvio on my Insurance.

So the W/E is going to be the first time I've really had the opportunity to give it a good test. But, I've not been idle I've completely been through the bike checking everything and giving it a good clean, she's coming up rather well, but not without issues.

1....The cracked riders side front wheel clamp....now welded, and it looks to be a very good job, the guy actually filled the clamp bolt rebates and levelled it all off, milled it out and inserted a sleeve, it looks much more robust and he assures me there was excellent penetration.

2....Discovered an oil leak from the lower left side barrel, not significant, but enough to make a mess long term...this will be addressed over the winter.

3...The seller assured me it had a roller tappet conversion and that the paperwork to confirm was present. There was a minor reference in the service history that mentioned it being done under warranty and another service sheet just mentioning  'cams'. So,had it had the conversion?
Whipped the rocker covers off and pleased to say YES they have been done, further investigation revealed it was done  6000mls ago, so hopefully all will be well.
A fair bit of nice pink emulsion in the rocker covers which would confirm the previous owner has used it in cool weather and relatively short runs. Might have to fit an oil temp gauge, and possibly cover the oil cooler a bit in the cooler months.

So generally all OK so far. A couple of pics to follow and I'll report how she rides after the W/E.

Well after several months and many hours she's had a good going over. Anything that needed repairing or replacing has been done. Anything that needed painting has been painted and she was given a full and complete service and overhaul.
Even though I say it myself it's turned out a lovely bike and now has a new owner whom I hope will get years of pleasure from her.
In the meantime I've found myself a very low mileage 2016 Stelvio Clap
