Hi - I have just joined the forum but not being very good on computer things I seem to failed at the first hurdle. I have tried to introduce myself by using the introduction heading but nothing happens - i.e. no text block or any prompt jumps out at me telling me what to do next. Can anybody point me in the correct procedure how to get started

Jerry - thanks for letting me know that I have made contact with the outer world. I am not at all sure which is the best / correct way to move about the forum. Tomorrow I'll try to post some info about myself and interests.
Thanks again for the reply (for some reason when I tried to reply to your post using the reply tab I had an error message and I seem to have to log back in using name and password. Maybe it's because I'm a new member?).
Best regards - George.

When you logged in to the forum did you tick the "keep me logged in" box?

Brian - thanks for the reply. On this occasion I clicked on to the reply button and the message block came up. Success (I'm not much of a computer techy but hopefully tomorrow I'll set out a bit of my profile).
Thanks again - George.

To Jerry, Brian, Barry and V7Chris - thanks for the warm welcome to the forum. A brief intro to myself is as follows : I'm 69 next week and have been fully retired four years. I am an active member of the LE Velocette club (normal get out with the club and do two runs every month). I also have CD 175, a Raleigh Runabout and a 1953 New Hudson Auto cycle fitted with the 98cc single speed Villiers. Thirty years ago I had a Mark 3 Le mans and also at the same time a very nice T3. I have for quite some time promised myself another Guzzi and a V50 would suit me fine now that I do not have the physical strength any more to handle the bigger lumps. Subsequently I have done some homework, looked as an outsider at your forum and advertised for such a machine in one of the monthly papers. Hopefully within the next few weeks I'll be another Guzzi owner.

Regards to All and take care.

Hi - I like your signature name and I wonder what modification you have done to your California.
Best regards - George

The transformation looks really good - I can see a lot of thought has gone into achieving a nice balanced machine.
Best regards - George.
