It's the UK custom requirements that have changed and caused the problem so it's perfectly understandable that all the extra hassle is  too much for some companies if they feel the business isn't worthwhile.

It wasn't UK customs who confiscated truck drivers' sandwiches, so the problem lies both sides of the channel.

The Irish have got it sorted, send all the shipping direct to the EU bypassing the Uk altogether.
