I've just signed up to the forum. I've been a Guzzi fan for many years but have only just managed to put my money where my mouth is and picked up a LM2.
I figure that I'll probably ask stupid questions and have you all banging your heads on the wall. Please be patient !!
As a Moto Guzzi and forum newbie I'm sure to commit a few faux pas

Stupid questions? We maintain that there are none - particularly when you are new to Moto Guzzi - but stupid answers: we can probably promise you some of those. A Le Mans 2 as your introduction to the brand? Nice one - welcome!

Pleased to hear it. Well done !

I  did my first oil and filter change on my LM1 last weekend; But rather than being 'all over that' as you put it, I had oil 'all over me' Dead
