Hi all!

I thought it was about time I introduce myself.
I've followed this forum on and off because that's what I do. You know, you register to a forum, start reading posts and then you get caught in life, work, deadlines, not to forget TV series and chocolate, and well... it's months later and you rediscover the forum!

So my ride is a Breva 750 from 2003 that I've had for 3 or 4 years I think, since I passed my licence basically. I just love it, not heavy, easy, simple (what's with all the sparkling toyish gadgets on some bikes?) and nice noise.

It it's the bike in your forum pic you're going to ruin it like that. Looking good mind.

Thank you!
I sometimes think about a Breva 1100 or 1200, you know at some point later, when I feel I want a change. But I'm a bit worried about the weight (I'm a woman). I've found myself once having to make a U-turn in a muddy narrow downslope. And my thought at that moment was... yep, not sure how I would handle a heavier bike here! Or in situations when you have to manoeuver it for some reason...

It is cumbersome in slow/parking lot turns but the weight is held low, I am 5' 8" and about 12-13 stone and at 61 have shed some muscle, but once up and running it is a joy, but then so will be your 750.

The only thing I hanker for is ABS, had a minor incident on Tuesday when a car carved me up and had a slide up the road and thinking ABS could have saved it but?

Hi and welcome finp, I too have a Breva the poverty model no ABS, heated grips, heated seats, on-board computer, electric screen, but its a great ride and have come to love it, its like the Alfa Romeo of the car world you have got to own one, my last bike was the BMW K1200 LT, so this Breva seems light in comparison, Carl
