May be that it's quicker to say has some bearing: in Italian language the I is pronounced as a long vowel sound and the double consonants (NN) are both pronounced ("ch een no) so a longer and nasal sound in Italian than in English, while the I in cappuccio is silent (its purpose is only to modify the sound of the preceding C).
